Bearing Reliability in Centrifugal Pumps

Introduction

To provide attendees with a thorough knowledge of the design, function and maintenance requirements of a centrifugal pump. Additionally, the course describes the preferred methods for installing, starting up and run-in for new pumps. Troubleshooting and solutions for common pump problems are covered. Knowledge of these areas allows the attendee to be better prepared to maximize the service life and reliability of pumps in their facility.

Objectives

The course curriculum is centered around pump maintenance and includes the theory behind the function of the pump and its components. Topics are addressed in a series of lectures, discussions, and hands-on workshops.

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations.

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for all maintenance professionals, lubrication technicians, machine and equipment predictive maintenance technicians, reliability and lubrication engineers, superintendents, supervisors and technicians, maintenance managers, supervisors and foremen, rotating equipment engineers, plant engineers, PMV engineers & machinery engineers.
